Election Success for Martin Barrett

 Congratulations to Martin Barratt on his election as Swindon Borough Councillor for Wroughton and Wichelstowe.

One of our other two candidate, Stan Pajak missed being elected for Wroughton & Wichelstowe by just 22 votes! Our two great Chiseldon & Ridgeway candidates Liz & Calum were sadly not elected.

Importantly the Lib Dems came second in both wards to the Conservatives with Reform in third place. We are a clear contender with growing momentum.

We would have liked to have won more seats but it’s important that we have one councillor to represent the Lib Dems on Swindon council.

Since Christmas we ran an active campaign across both wards that involved the following statistics:
              We delivered around 25,000 leaflets to 6,400 households. 
              We knocked on 3,259 doors.
              We canvassed 1,639 households.
