The Wiltshire Local Plan might sound like a complicated planning document, but it’s actually about something that affects all of us: what our towns and villages look like in the future.

It helps decide where new homes should be built, where businesses can grow, what infrastructure we need, how people will get around and which green spaces and areas of countryside should be protected.

A new Local Plan is now being developed for Wiltshire, which gives residents a really important opportunity to have their say before decisions are made.

We want to hear from people about what they love about where they live, what needs improving and what they want their community to look like in the future. Whether it’s concerns about traffic and flooding, the need for more affordable homes, better public transport and facilities, or protecting green spaces, your views can help shape the plan.

Getting involved isn’t just about objecting to development. It’s about having a say in where development happens, what it looks like and what our communities need alongside it.

The decisions made through the Local Plan could affect our communities for many years to come. That’s why we want as many local people as possible to get involved and make sure the future of where they live is shaped by the people who live there.
